Thankful Thursday {edition 8}

Well hello everyone! How's it going? This isn't going to be a long post cause I'm enjoying a view of the lake :)

Ok where were we? Thankful Thursday that right! :) 

 

1. The view. I'll post a pictures when I get home. 

2. Going camping 2 weeks in a row, before school starts again. Lincoln rock this week and alder lake last week! Fun times! 

3. The book... "being a girl who loves" learning to love like jesus. By Shannon Kubiak Primicerio It's really good. If you haven't read it read it!

4. Shad. It's supper nice on a hot day. 

5. You readers/followers! You keep coming back to my blog even when I don't post for a week or two. Thanks guys! 

6. Gods unfailing love! It doesn't matter how many time we fail to love God, because His love NEVER fails! 

Well that's all for now. I'm off to enjoy the lake! :) 

Freedom

Freedom 

Freedom: The condition or state of being free: political independence. Thats the dictionaries definition of the word freedom But is that all there is to it? Servitude, bondage, slavery thats what freedom is NOT, but what is freedom? Freedom is independence, privilege, liberty. Here in the US we have lots of freedom, freedom of the press, freedom of speech, freedom of religion and many more. Freedom is not being in slavery, its being able to believe what you want, say what you want and just do what you want, in reason of course, you cant just go kill people of something like that, but anyway. As the constitution says we have the right to "life, LIBERTY (freedom) and the pursuit of happiness"

I wrote this for my writing book the other day and thought i would share it. I have been reading in history about the cival war. Did you know that Abraham Lincoln died April 15, 1865? Thats 147 years and 5 days ago. What do you think about freedom?

Books

So we have lots of my great grandpas old books. Like so old that 2 are from 1896! My Great Grandpa Cecile, Grandpa Cec is what we call him. He would have been 105ish this year. But he past away about 13 years ago :( His brother, my great uncle, Cloude is 102. We went down to California in 2009 for his 100th birthday! Anyway we have lots of his,his sisters and my Grandpas old book.  We got some new bookshelfs so that we could put all our old book on them. When i put them on the shelf i took some pictures Enjoy!

is about a girl named Katya who lives in St. Petersburg, Russia during the Russian Revaluation.

"The Impossible Journey"

is about Katya's daughter named Marya. And how her and her little brother Georgi travel 1000+ miles to Siberia, to find there mother.

"Burying The Sun"

is about Katya's son Georgi. And how he lives in Leningrad(St. Petersburg), Russia when the Germans attack and bomb the city, during World War 2.

If you ever want a good book to read I would recommend these.
